The Fallen Tree oil on linen 24"x20"

Painting still on going I need to step back and
maybe kick up the color on the river or cover it
with snow and show some ice reflecting. Maybe a
wolf or deer will step out of the brush. You never
know. Enjoy! Ed

last weeks sketch

It was around 24˚ and still no wind. Frost on the
grasses. Stayed for a while to finish this sketch looking
down from the hill. I needed coffee that morning.
Enjoy ! -Ed

Painting From Memory

Coming home from work heading north on rt 287
I noticed out my car window a beautiful thing happening.
The warm air from the sun setting was hitting the cold air.
Creating a special effect that only mother nature could produce.
I was powerless to stop or take a picture so I took the snap shot
with my mind. I sketched it as I remembered it in the studio
last night. Enjoy!-Ed

2011 winter sketch

Finally got to paint outside with the group again
after the snows. It was about 30° after the sun
warmed things up. Sketched the little red shack.
Enjoy!!!

2010 February 14th Winter Scene

I finally got out to paint this Sunday, the
temperature was around 29° and blustery winds.
Great to see snow on the ground. Haven't painted
outside this year in a several weeks. Feels good to
get outside again to paint.
Enjoy!....Ed
