Painting still on going I need to step back and

maybe kick up the color on the river or cover it

with snow and show some ice reflecting. Maybe a

wolf or deer will step out of the brush. You never

The Fallen Tree

My biggest memory of winter this year was when

a surprise storm hit us in fall 2011.

It took the northeast weeks to recover trees and

branches were down everywhere. To commemorate

this event I started painting "The Fallen Tree".

I stopped painting several weeks and now its time

to get back in to it. Enjoy! Ed

last weeks sketch

It was around 24˚ and still no wind. Frost on the

grasses. Stayed for a while to finish this sketch looking

down from the hill. I needed coffee that morning.

All most finished with this 44"x 31" painting of

a scene from a vacation spot on LBI New Jersey.

I just wanted to see how it looked in the frame.

This would look good in the den over the winter months.
