I was recently a commissioned to paint the Dalvay Lighthouse in Prince Edward Island Canada. I just started massing in the colors and came up with the light effect. Enjoy! ED
Sunday Feb 13th got up to paint looked like an over cast uninspiring day. I threw my paints and easel into the car and stopped for coffee on my way up to the mountains. Temperature was 19° we walked over the ice crusted snow on near the river edge. I was glad to capture this moment on this day. You never know. Painting is like fishing. Enjoy! ED
Coming home from work heading north on rt 287 I noticed out my car window a beautiful thing happening. The warm air from the sun setting was hitting the cold air. Creating a special effect that only mother nature could produce. I was powerless to stop or take a picture so I took the snap shot with my mind. I sketched it as I remembered it in the studio last night. Enjoy!-Ed
Finally got to paint outside with the group again after the snows. It was about 30° after the sun warmed things up. Sketched the little red shack. Enjoy!!!
