Got to work on a painting I started two weeks ago.
The coniditions were the same. Except it was
only 36° outside. I had a great day that morning.
The birds were making a racket "Spring is coming."

Sunday, February 21st sketch

Went up to paint this Sunday. I wanted to get
at least one more painting of the snow before it
all disappears. Its getting lighter in the morning
the temperature was around 32˚. A gust of wind
came from nowhere and almost knocked over my easel.
That's when I decided to quit while I was ahead....

2010 February 14th Winter Scene

I finally got out to paint this Sunday, the 

temperature was around 29° and blustery winds.

Great to see snow on the ground. Haven't painted

outside this year in a several weeks. Feels good to

get outside again to paint.

Painting wins award at the 2010 Open Juried Show

I was really surprised to win an award this
year at the Regional Open Juried Show 2010
in Ridgewood NJ. My painting "il Cameriere"
won the Modern Postcard Award.
